What Backslate collects, why, and what it never does.
Last updated
The short version
- Your account comes from Whop: your Whop user ID, name, email and membership status.
- Your connector URL is stored only as a one-way hash, tied to your account so Backslate can tell which member a request comes from.
- When Claude uses Backslate, it sends us the tool request (for example a team or player name) so we can answer it. We never see your Claude conversation.
- Backslate never connects to your sportsbook accounts and never places bets.
- Payment details are handled by Whop. Backslate never sees your card number.
- No advertising or analytics trackers, and we never sell your personal information.
A summary for convenience. The full policy below is what applies.
This policy explains what Reprime Group collects when you use Backslate (backslate.io and the Backslate connector), why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your Whop account. When you sign in with Whop we receive your Whop user ID, name, and email address, and we ask Whop whether your membership is active.
- Membership notices. Whop tells us when a membership starts, renews, changes, or ends, and about payments, refunds, and disputes. These notices can include your email and billing details such as amounts and status. Card details go to Whop, never to us.
- Your connector. We store your connector URL’s token only as a one-way hash, with its last four characters and when it was created and last used. We cannot show the full URL again.
- Usage. Counts of the questions and tool calls made through your connector, and the time of the last one. When Claude uses a Backslate tool it sends the tool’s inputs (for example a team or player name) to answer the request; your conversation with Claude stays with Anthropic.
- Server logs. Our hosts record IP addresses, browser details, and requested pages for security and reliability.
Cookies
We set two strictly necessary cookies, only when you sign in: a session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 7 days, and a sign-in cookie that lasts 10 minutes while you go to Whop and back. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers. Fonts and images are served from backslate.io itself. Because we do not track you across sites, we treat browsers’ Do Not Track signals the same as any other visit.
How we use it
To sign you in, check your membership, run your connector, answer your tool requests, handle billing questions and disputes, prevent abuse such as shared or resold connectors, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
Who processes data for us
Whop (sign-in, payments, and memberships), Supabase (our database), Vercel (hosting for this website), and Fly.io (hosting for the connector). Each processes data only to provide its service to us. When you use the connector, Anthropic’s Claude sends us tool requests and receives our answers; Anthropic’s handling of your conversations is covered by its own policies.
How long we keep it
Account, membership, and usage records are kept while you are a member and afterwards for as long as we need them for billing, tax, and dispute records. Revoked connector tokens are kept only as hashes.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, or for its deletion, by contacting us: Backslate on Whop (opens in a new tab). Residents of California and other states with privacy laws have the rights those laws give them, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
Age
Backslate is for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
When we change this policy we update the date above.
